Lost and Found

What is HAVA?
HAVA, the Harbor Association of Volunteers for Animals, is an all-volunteer group serving the animals of the Twin Harbors region of Washington state.

Donations will help fund the building of a NO Kill shelter to serve the Twin Harbors area and helping lost, stray, unwanted, neglected and abused animals.

All HAVA contributors receive our newsletter, with news and chat about HAVA activities, as well as volunteer profiles and adoption success stories.

Anyone who donates at the $40 level or above will also receive a "Cat's Meow" certificate, suitable for framing.

Animal Angel PinsDonate $100 or more in any one year, and you'll also receive an adorable, wearable "HAVA Angel" pin (your choice of cat or dog design)

Over time, we plan to develop a larger program of benefits for members and donors. But anyone who joins or donates right now, as we are reorganizing the group after a four-year hiatus and just beginning our big push toward building an animal shelter to serve the Twin Harbors, gets the extra satisfaction of helping create a new dawn for the Harbors' lost, unwanted, abused, neglected, or strayed animals.

    Building

Building a shelter is a long-term project, and some skills, like masonry or plumbing, might not be needed for many years. But to plan HAVA's future shelter, we can always use people who are knowledgeable about any building trade, architecture, land-use, animal management, finance, and more.

In addition, volunteers with construction skills are needed to:

Make craft items for HAVA to sell at events
Construct dog houses for foster homes that don't already have their own
      Set up portable kennels
Advise on any facet of shelter design and construction
      ... And more!
