News Story
.....Firefighters, medics save dogs from burning home
Raymond Fire Department save 10 poodles....oodles of poodles.  Ten dogs were saved Wednesday from a house fire in Raymond.  Casey Jo Clifton and Caitlyn Burbank, EMT Firefighters performed CPR on several dogs while oxygen mask had to be put on others suffering from smoke inhalation.  The owner has asked HAVA to help find them good homes.  If you are interested in fostering (all food provided) or adopting any of these lucky dogs, please contact HAVA at 360-942-4716 or
hava@hava-heart.org.  We will be posting individual pictures of the 9 toy poodles on Friday afternoon on our Animal Adoption link on Petfinder.com.  There are 6 male and 3 female who will be spayed/neutered this Sunday.  All are white to blond, except Cher (black 5 yr Female) and Austin (brown 3 yr Male);  also available is Sonny (5 yr M), Shawno (4 yr F), Nala (2 yr F), Polar Bear (18 mo M), SnowBall (14 mo M), Big Boy (9 mo M), and Little Boy (9 mo M). 
If you would like to help with the cost associated with their recouperation, all
donations are welcome.  

UPDATE.....As of Monday, November 26, all poodles have been adopted to loving homes...Thanks to everyone!  But we have lots of cats, kittens and more dogs available for Adoption, Click here for direct link to Petfinder.com for listings...

Is our name for the colony of cats that resides in the dock area of Westport. 

This colony exists because irresponsible residents abandon their unwanted pets at this location. 

Before the birth of HAVA, an entire earlier colony was eradicated by poison, only to have a new colony replace it. more
